Women's Day CME

Aryamba Centre for O & G Research & Excellence, in association with CanCyte Technologies, conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Seminar on “Preventive Women’s Health” on 7th March 2026. The event was organised on the eve of International Women’s Day to emphasise early screening as part of cancer prevention.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr B.S. Srinath (Founder of Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Managing Trustee, Surgical Oncologist), who spoke about the current cancer scenario of women in India, the barriers to screening and care and ways to overcome the hurdles to make women cancer-free.

Dr Sundari (Ex HOD of OBG Department, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Research Institute, Senior Consultant, OBGYN, MSR Memorial Hospital) was felicitated for her extensive work in the prevention of cervical cancer for the last 50 years.

Dr U. D. Bafna (Head of Dept. Gynecologic Oncology, B M Jain Hospital), Shri Ananth Srinath (Director, SSNCCPR.), and Dr Sudarson Sundarrajan (Chief Scientist, Cancyte Technologies) shared valuable insights on preventive strategies for cancer in women, helping bridge important knowledge gaps in clinical practice.

The session was chaired by Dr Vidyamani Lingegowda (Senior Consultant, OBGYN, Sagar Chandramma Hospital) and Dr Annapurna V (Head of Dept. Gynecologic Oncology, SSCHRC)

Nearly 85 gynaecologists attended. The lectures churned up a lot of discussions among the audience, making it very interactive and fruitful.
