Surgeon Rear Admiral (Retd.) M.S. Prakash, who specializes in Medicine and Nephrology has assumed charge as Managing Director of Rangadore Memorial Hospital, Bengaluru.

After graduating in 1983 from Government Medical College, Mysore. Surgeon Rear Admiral Retd. M S Prakash, joined the Armed Forces Medical Services. After serving in Indo China border for about 4 years, he completed MD in Internal Medicine from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College Pune in 1990 and DM in Nephrology from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1998. He served in various Armed Forces Medical Services Hospitals including AFMC Pune, Army Hospital Research and Referral Delhi and Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore.

From 2017 till voluntary retirement in Nov 2019, he served as Chief Consultant Armed Forces Medical Services for Medicine and Allied specialties. Before joining Rangadore Memorial Hospital, he served as Professor and Head of Department of Nephrology at Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore for about six years.
