India with its increasing burden of heart disease needs advanced facilities for heart care. Keeping in line with the philosophy of providing quality care at affordable cost, a full-fledged Cardiology Department was opened on16th May, 2022 at Rangadore
Memorial Hospital (RMH),
With an interconnected state-of-the-art diagnostic technology platform, the department provides an end-to-end acute cardiac care through our catheterisation lab (cath lab) and specialised OT along with a well-equipped 6 bedded CCU (Dr. Gowrishankar Cardiac Care Unit).
The cardiac care center which will be operational 24/7 will cater to all requirements of cardiac patients. The center has been equipped with the latest equipment, a state-of- the-art cardiac OT, advanced Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU). The department provides round the clock cardiac care including areas of non-invasive cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac bypass surgeries and minimally invasive surgeries.
The centre is manned by qualified and experienced cardiologists round the clock and provide services like Angiogram, Angioplasty, cardiac surgeries, valve replacements, pacemaker implantation, etc.

Dr. S Guruprasad has completed his specialization in
Interventional Cardiology from the prestigious King Edward
Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He is a former Assistant
Professor of cardiology at J J Hospital,Mumbai and Sri
