Dr Manamohan is a passionate and enthusiastic mental health professional. He is proficient in Kannada, English, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. He worked in one of the premier mental health institutes of the country National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, for a period of about 30 months. He then went overseas to hone his clinical skills further. He is accredited as a Psychiatrist by the National Board of Examinations as well. He pursued further training at Melbourne in Australia under the Specialist Supervised Training (SST) by the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He worked for about 18 months. He has also gained membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists London.
Services: He offers a range of services in the form of identification and management of various mental health issues, including stress and anger management, attention, concentration and performance issues, sleep problems, communication and relationship problems, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, OCD, Bipolar disorders, among others.
Areas of special interest: He has a keen interest in child and adolescent Psychiatry. He did his doctoral thesis on children with ADHD, and the same was submitted and accepted by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He offers services to identify and manage various childhood problems like anxiety problems, depressive problems, ADHD, Autism, Communication and Language Disorders, childhood motor disorders, problems involving childhood emotional and mental well-being, career guidance, and others. He also has experience in perinatal psychiatry and women’s mental health. He offers specialised mental wellness services for both individuals and couples during the pregnancy and post-partum period.
Achievements: He has been regularly involved in contributing to the literature on mental health through various published articles in peer-reviewed journals and as an active participant for the professional forums both nationally and internationally.
