Services offered by our Radiology Department:
1. Diagnostic X-rays – We are equipped with digital radiography in OPD and in Radiology Department, which provides basic initial investigation like chest x-ray, x-rays of bone and other organs. We have multiple bedside x-ray machines, which are used in ICU, PICU and NICU set up for taking bedside x-rays.
2. CT Scans – Our state-of-art 32 slice CT scanner can perform head-to-toe CT scan, angiograms, urograms, triphasic examination, CTPA etc, which help in precise diagnosis in many cases, and in ternhelp the clinician in treating even the difficult cases.
3. Ultrasound scan –we have dedicated ultrasounds machine for performing obstetric scans for pregnancy lady, which can tell us the well-being of the fetus inside, can detect any abnormality of yet to born baby, can help us deciding the timing of delivery in high risk cases. Our main ultrasound machine, which is used for scanning of other body parts of new born, children and adults. Ultrasound scanning being a basic modality helps to detect many disease condition early and also helps to assess disease progress. We have experienced bunch of radiologist who are working in this field for more than 2-3 decades with few of them specialized in specific fields.
4. Sonomammogram –with availability of dedicatedOnco-radiologist and breast surgeon, we are providing best services to address issues related to breast including abscess, tumors and other issues. We also provide breast interventions including biopsy, marker placement, wire localization wherever required.
7. Interventional Radiology –With availability of dedicated interventional radiologists, we provide intervention radiology services across spectrum. These procedure being minimally invasive provide maximum benefit to the patients. In our hospital, we provide various intervention radiology services including biopsies, drainage procedures, PTBD, PCN, pre-op embolization, bronchial artery embolization, uterine artery embolization, prostatic artery embolization, cTACE, DEB-TACE for HCC, RFA and microwave ablation for liver lesions, venous stenting and other interventions. We also provide necessary fetal interventions.

Dr. Madhu S. D. is a senior Interventional Radiologist with over 14 years of experience in high-volume oncology and tertiary care. He currently serves as Professor & Head of Radiodiagnosis and Chief Interventional Radiologist at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, leading one of India’s advanced oncology-focused Interventional Radiology services.
He has received international fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, USA, and Seoul National University Hospital, South Korea. His clinical expertise includes interventional oncology procedures such as TACE, TARE (radioembolization), microwave and RF ablation, as well as complex hepatobiliary and vascular interventions.
Dr. Madhu specializes in minimally invasive embolization therapies including Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE), Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE), and Bronchial Artery Embolization (BAE), offering effective alternatives to surgery. He also has extensive experience in TIPS, Budd-Chiari syndrome management, AV malformations, venous interventions, and image-guided biopsies.
In addition to clinical excellence, he is actively involved in academic leadership, resident training, and protocol development, contributing to advanced patient-centric cancer care.

Dr Sharana Basappa, is an Interventional and diagnostic radiologist with 20 years experience. He is currently associated with RMH as a consultant Radiologist. He is well versed in conventional, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI modalities.

Dr. Reshma L, MS, DNB OBG, Fellowship in fetomaternal medicine is a qualified Obstetrician and Fetal Medicine Specialist with advanced training in prenatal diagnosis and high-risk pregnancy imaging. She specializes in comprehensive first- and second-trimester screening, detailed fetal anomaly scans, fetal Doppler studies, and fetal echocardiography.
With strong foundation in fetal medicine and evidence-based obstetric care, she is dedicated to providing accurate prenatal assessments and structured clinical guidance. Her approach emphasizes early detection of congenital anomalies, fetal growth abnormalities, multiple pregnancies, and medical complications such as hypertension and diabetes in pregnancy.
Dr. Reshma is committed to delivering compassionate counselling alongside diagnostic precision, ensuring that expectant parents receive clear explanations, risk assessment, and individualized management plans. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
